Colfax Marathon for Family Tree

This year, Elijah and I are lacing up our running shoes (or Kanes) to raise money for Family Tree through the Colfax Marathon Relay.

Family Tree works across the Denver metro area to help prevent and overcome child abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness. They provide safety, stability, and support for children, survivors, and families in our community. Their mission means a lot to both of us, and we’re proud to support their work.

Last year, I tackled the four-mile “downhill” leg of the relay with zero training and even less stretching. This year, I’m taking things more seriously. I’ve been training, and there is a decent chance I’ll stretch beforehand too.

Even better, Elijah is joining me this year. That means twice the motivation and twice the complaining about running.
