Live Love Liv Fund: A Legacy of Hope, Joy, and Compassion

Olivia “Liv” Grenardo lived with extraordinary joy, generosity, determination, and love.

Liv was a daughter, friend, athlete, fashion lover, graduate student, cancer survivor, and someone who believed deeply in helping others. After facing Stage IV thyroid cancer herself, she understood that cancer affects far more than a person’s health. It touches families, finances, relationships, education, work, and nearly every part of daily life.

Liv passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2026, at just 26 years old.

Live Love Liv was created to carry her spirit forward by helping others — with joy, dignity, generosity, and love.

Fund Purpose:

The purpose of this fund is to support charitable organizations and programs that improve the lives of adolescents and young adults affected by cancer.

Grants from the Live Love Liv Fund may support cancer-related financial assistance, access to medical care, treatment-related needs, mental health and emotional support, survivorship programs, patient and family support services, education, research, and charitable experiences that bring hope, encouragement, healing, and joy to individuals and families facing cancer.

Our hope is simple: When someone is fighting cancer, we want to help make the rest of life a little easier.

Why This Matters:

Liv experienced firsthand what it meant to live through cancer as a young person.

She experienced something many patients and families understand all too well: surviving the disease does not necessarily mean that its impact ends. Cancer can affect a person’s sense of safety, identity, relationships, future plans, and emotional well-being long after treatment is over.

She also knew that life should still include laughter, friendship, experiences, celebration, and hope — even during the hardest seasons.

There are real-life expenses and needs that can accompany cancer treatment and recovery. Cancer can create burdens that extend far beyond medical bills. Transportation, lodging, meals, household expenses, supportive care, and other everyday needs can quickly become overwhelming while someone is focused on treatment and healing.

Just as importantly, cancer can have a profound impact on emotional and mental health. Anxiety, depression, fear, trauma, isolation, and the uncertainty that can come with diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship may become significant challenges of their own. Accessing appropriate mental health care can be difficult and expensive.

Live Love Liv aims to remove some of these barriers by supporting both the practical and emotional needs of people living through cancer and its aftermath.

We want the people we help to feel something Liv gave so naturally to others:

You are seen. You are loved. And you are not alone.

Looking Ahead:

Helping people affected by cancer will remain at the heart of Live Love Liv.

Live Love Liv has ambitions to become a nonprofit organization and is working toward that objective. Our goal is to build an organization that is thoughtful, transparent, responsible, and worthy of Liv’s name.

Currently, Live Love Liv Fund is a donor-advised fund at Colorado Gives Foundation. Any contributions made through this fundraising page will go into that fund. We believe deeply in honoring the trust of every person who chooses to give. Grants made from the Live Love Liv Fund will be aligned with the purpose of the fund which is to support charitable organizations and programs that improve the lives of adolescents and young adults affected by cancer.

As the organization grows, we hope to support the whole person — not only the physical challenges of serious illness, but also the emotional, financial, and practical burdens that can follow.

Why “Live Love Liv”?

Liv’s name became something much bigger than a name.

It became a reminder of how she lived:

Live fully.

Love deeply.

Give generously.

That is what we hope Live Love Liv will do for many years to come.
