Jessica lost her life tragically on October 5, 2012 but her joyful spirit will live on in a park named in her honor. Together, as a community, we will renovate Jessica's neighborhood park and make it one of the finest parks in Westminster. In keeping with her family's wishes, the park will be a celebration of Jessica's life. The City of Westminster has collaborated with the family on the design and has committed $200,000 in cash and in-kind services. Preliminary costs were estimated at $450,000. Current project estimates are for $538,000 which includes additions and upgrades based on input from the Ridgeway family and Witt Elementary School; consultations with engineering, construction and supply companies; and improvements to the plaza concrete, pedestrian lighting and the existing basketball court.
