FRCC Student Veterinary Club

Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Assistant students at FRCC are preparing for careers that require strong technical skills, confidence, and the ability to think on their feet. A lot of that confidence comes from having the chance to practice skills more than once and learn in an environment where it is okay to ask questions and make mistakes.

Funding for the Student Veterinary Club helps us create more of those opportunities for students.

Donations can help us purchase supplies and equipment for hands-on skills labs, including bandaging materials, catheter practice supplies, training models, and other items students can use to build their clinical skills outside of regular class time. These practice opportunities can make a big difference when students move into internships, clinical rotations, and eventually their first jobs.

Funding also helps us bring guest speakers, career panels, and educational events to fruition. Hearing from technicians and veterinarians working in different areas of the field gives students a better idea of what opportunities are available after graduation and helps them start building connections within the veterinary community while learning about new topics in veterinary medicine.

We also use club resources to support students in practical ways. Programs such as Vet Study Hall and the Vet Student Closet are meant to make a demanding program a little easier by giving students access to study resources, snacks, scrubs, coveralls, and other useful supplies.

Our goal is simple: give students more chances to practice, learn, connect with the veterinary community, and feel prepared when they enter the workforce.

Every donation helps us provide experiences and resources that students can carry with them well beyond their time at FRCC.
