Hello Family and Friends (old and new) --
Rachel speaking. I have been involved with the Humane Society of Boulder Valley (HSBV) since 2015 in a variety of capacities, from cleaning kennels to providing enrichment for four-legged shelter friends to joining the Board of Directors. Naturally, during my time volunteering, I was adopted by a dog and a cat from HSBV to form the Hammond Herd. Lucy was a stick-loving, energetic, 40-pound lap dog that would gladly cuddle all day. Pepper Potts (yes, a tribute to my fellow Marvel fans) is a curious, talkative tuxedo that will be sure to assist, especially when you don't need help. She is now a playful companion to the tiny humans of the household.
HSBV provides so much more than animal adoptions. This organization is an innovator in the animal welfare world that works to develop programs that benefit animal-human relationships across our community and the nation. By protecting and enhancing the lives of animals and improving relationships, HSBV is in turn enhancing the lives of the community.
HSBV exists because of donors like you. Every dollar counts. Here are some examples:
- $25 funds one day of food and treats for a dog awaiting adoption;
- $50 provides vaccinations and microchipping for a newly arrived animal;
- $100 covers specialized supplies and care for a litter of kittens or puppies; and
- $550 sponsors the care of an animal from the time they enter HSBV until finding a new, loving home.
Please feel free to share this page with friends and family who might be interested in supporting HSBV at this time.
With Love,
--The Hammond Herd
