$15,000 goal

The teachers and students at Sedalia Elementary are building the Tiny Tailgater, a complete tiny house! The Tiny Tailgater is a learning project where students will have the opportunity to discover building and construction of a house including planning, learning how to properly use tools, mathematics in measuring, sewing and painting. Students will focus on sustainable living in a smaller footprint, learning about the environmental benefits of using solar energy and composting toilet. Of course, this project would not be complete without the use of communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking skills.

Ultimately, the sale of the Tiny Tailgater will be a fundraiser to provide new technology for students, ebooks, software for all classrooms, amazing programs such as Brain Pop, Spelling Bee, Race to Read, Thorne Institute's Project Bear, educational field trips, the continued redesign and update of classrooms and learning spaces, and so much more.
