Resilience1220 provides confidential, one-on-one therapy to youth ages 12 to 20 at no cost. Through individual sessions, teens learn how to build resiliency and put into practice coping strategies to face today’s challenges - from bullying to social media to the loss of a loved one. Through our group therapy sessions, teens build community and connection with their peers. reducing isolation.
Since our founding in May of 2019, we have served almost 1,760 youth, parents and teachers in individual therapy. We have held over 520 groups for youth and families reaching over 1,730 people. Our community outreach program has impacted over 12,300 community members. We have provided over 7,830 hours of counseling to youth in our community, thanks to the dedication and support of donors like you!
Our service area includes Jefferson, Clear Creek, Gilpin, and Park counties. By sponsoring just one hour of counseling, you can save a teen’s life.

To empower young people in our mountain communities to build resilience, strength, and tools they need to navigate life's challenges.
Resilience1220 was founded in May of 2019, a year when our mountain communities faced the reality of 3 teen suicides. We were made painfully aware of the mental health issues that young people face and the lack of life saving resources accessible to them.
A group of local therapists and community members worked tirelessly to break down barriers to neighborhood mental health resources and the social stigmas around seeking care. Today we continue to help young people build resilience for life.
Through individual counseling, support groups, and community outreach, we strive to raise awareness of the social, emotional, and mental health issues youth are facing, and to provide the necessary life skills to create wellness and resiliency in their lives.
