Testimonials

"The Posner Center is precious for Denver's global development community. I find great value working here every day, being exposed to new ideas in a very collaborative environment. You have a great thing going here!" - Chris Bleers, Engineers Without Borders USA

"Learning from partners who are trying to do very similar things to us but have completely different methods is so great, and especially important is having training and collaboration events which 'force' us to get out of our work mode and talk to each other!" - Joshua Knight, Global Hope Network International

"Being at the Posner Center has greatly expanded our network and employee wellness through access to a wide range of events, professional development trainings, and opportunities for collaboration. The biggest impact though has just been the day-to-day environmental affect on our staff members as the positive and innovative energy in the Center is contagious." - Hannah Bick, MAIA

Mission

The Posner Center for International Development catalyzes the global development community, at home and abroad, to collaborate for greater impact.

Our network of nearly 200 organizations works with communities in over 100 countries around the world across all sectors of development, confronting the barriers to securing a more prosperous and equitable life for all.

Background Statement

In 2011, iDE, a Denver-based group that increases incomes for more

than 20 million rural farmers in Asia, Africa, and Latin America,

initiated an ambitious plan to finance and develop a consortium to

inhabit the world's first shared space for international development.

In 2012, after a collaborative design and planning process with the

Denver Housing Authority, Engineers Without Borders USA, Bridges

to Prosperity, Nokero, Denver Urban Gardens, iDE and many dedicated

partner organizations, more than two dozen Tenant organizations

were recruited, many with a market-based approach to solving

global challenges. iDE served as the founder and landlord until late

2013, when the Posner Center for International Development was

"spun off" from iDE as an independent nonprofit organization. The

Posner Center is named in recognition of the generosity of Joanne

Posner-Mayer, and in honor of her parents, Jerry and Hanna Posner.
