ONE UNSPAYED CAT - TWO OR MORE LITTERS A YEAR
That’s how it starts!
A single unspayed cat can have two or more litters a year, and her kittens can start having their own kittens within months. In just a few years, one cat becomes dozens. Most of these cats will be feral and suffer from disease and premature death. The San Luis Valley Spay and Neuter Alliance works to change all that!
The SLV Spay and Neuter Alliance is a small mobile nonprofit that serves the counties of the San Luis Valley along with eastern and southern Colorado communities by offering spay and neuter services to both cats and dogs. Every year, our team performs more than 2,500 low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for families who love their pets but cannot afford to pay full price for veterinary care. We are low-cost-but never low-care!
Please consider donating any amount to our organization. A donation of $35 will buy supplies to spay one cat. $75 will pay for the full spay or neuter of one animal, and $500 will sponsor a mobile clinic for a day in a rural community. Whatever the amount, your donation will be greatly valued by our organization and the cats and dogs we serve.

The mission of the SLV Spay and Neuter Alliance is to provide low-cost spay and neuter services to cats and dogs of the San Luis Valley and other underserved areas of Colorado for as long as pet overpopulation is an issue.
SLV Spay and Neuter Alliance started in the San Luis Valley in February of 2022. We’re a small 501(c)(3) non-profit mobile operation, able to do up to 2,800 spay/neuter surgeries a year. We are low-cost, but not low-care. We love our work, our clients, and being part of some wonderful stories.
