Grand Family Coalitions: Children aren't always able to live safely with their parents. Grandparents and other kin become an essential placement for these children. Grandfamilies turn to Grand Family Coalition for emotional support and resources to maintain stability in their families.

OUR MISSION is to build a community of support around grandparents, other relatives raising kin, and the minor children in their care, by creating a place where grandfamilies and services connect. And to bring awareness to our community concerning the needs of grandfamilies.
OUR VISION: Minor children in grandfamilies will grow up in stable loving homes to become productive adult members of society, and that grandfamilies are regarded as a fundamental and vital part of our community.
OUR PURPOSE To provide programs, social activities, and a collaborative of community resources that encourage a community of grandfamilies that promotes positive thinking and emotional wellbeing.
Formed out of a personal need for resources and connection to others in similar situations, GFC was founded by two grandmothers raising their grandchildren. In 2014 the two set out to create a resource for the thousands of grandparents and other kin raising kin. Focusing on providing education on how to raise children that come from a hard place, connection to others who understood the challenges of navigating a complex situation. The organization has grown from 76 participants to now providing, Peer -2- Peer support, youth mentor programs, educational programs, and connection to resources, for over 400 participants. A Kinship Navigator Program for seniors raising children.
