It is estimated that nearly one in every five individuals has a reading disability. Our goal is to help support children who have language-based learning disabilities through early identification and intervention. We can't do this without the generous support of donors like you.
Dyslexia Foundation of Western Colorado (formerly Aha! for Dyslexia) has and is still supportive of both of our dyslexic children's needs. Our mission at Dyslexia Foundation of Western Colorado is to bring awareness and provide support, information, and funding to families with learners affected by dyslexia. Nearly one student in five has a language-based learning disability and dyslexia is the most common of these disabilities. Through donations and grants, our goal is to provide funds to families for:
1. Identification, screening, and testing for learning disabilities for youth in our community.
2. Interventions and/or tutoring for students with dyslexia or reading disabilities.
3. Assistive technology to students with dyslexia.
Founded in 2014, Aha! Inc. is a Grand Junction, CO based non-profit dedicated to helping families who have children who are impacted by this commonly misdiagnosed, or even undiagnosed, disease. In an effort to bring awareness to this disease and combat the struggles that children with this disability face. Over the past seven years, we have raised thousands of dollars to provide scholarships for children, professional development for teachers, and support for parents of children struggling to read.
