ABOUT US
A first job can be a first step toward a brighter future.
For three years, young people at WDC have gained work experience, earned income, and built skills through The Sugary Stop, our youth-run lemonade pop-up serving the Denver metro area. They set up, make drinks, serve customers, and work as a team at community events. For many, it is their first paid job.
So far, WDC has reached 130+ young people. 31 youth have received paid opportunities or stipends, and $13,300 has been paid directly to youth. 29 youth have worked on The Sugary Stop, which has appeared at 81 pop-ups and community events.
Now we are raising money for a food trailer. A trailer will let The Sugary Stop serve more people, attend more events, and create more paid opportunities for youth. Your gift helps make that possible. Join our 30 donors and help create the next first job.
