Background Statement
Eagle Valley Child Care Association is a unique entity in the Vail Valley. Our Association was created by business leaders in 2000 who identified the need of quality affordable child care as a recruitment and retention tool for local businesses. After a mass exodus by a corporate child care from our Vail location, this group mobilized and helped create our non-profit, Eagle Valley Child Care Association.
In 2001, Vail Child Care opened its doors to the public. Vail Child Care is licensed for 41 students daily and serves infants through preschoolers. Vail Child Care Center is the only infant center care available in the town of Vail. As the economy boomed in the Vail Valley, the need for additional child care options became the focus of this group. Government and business leaders worked collaboratively for more child care offerings which led to the expansion of our Association.
In 2006, Miller Ranch Child Care opened its doors to the public. Miller Ranch Child Care is located in an affordable housing community popular with Eagle County locals. Miller Ranch Child Care serves families centrally in the Vail Valley in the community of Edwards. Miller Ranch offers 80 child care spaces daily to Eagle County local families for infant through preschool students.
