$1,000 Goal

The Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance (ECCLA) is a collective impact leader in Colorado’s early childhood ecosystem. We unite, support, and empower all 35 of Colorado’s Early Childhood Councils, which together serve every one of our 64 counties.

As the collective voice and statewide hub for this network, we leverage local expertise to achieve shared goals: ensuring Colorado’s young children are valued, healthy, and thriving, and that the professionals who care for and educate them are supported at every level.

When you give to ECCLA, you don't just support one program; you strengthen the entire early childhood ecosystem. Your gift creates a powerful ripple effect across Colorado:

  • You Cultivate Our Educators: Your support fuels scholarships that help early childhood professionals afford the credentials they need to stay, grow, and thrive. You're not just funding a scholarship; you are investing in the adults who shape our children's earliest years.
  • You Sustain Vital Child Care Businesses: Your donation funds critical grants that help licensed Family Child Care Home providers start strong, stay open, and elevate quality. You are directly combating child care deserts and ensuring families have access to safe, nurturing, and flexible care in their own neighborhoods.
  • You Champion Systemic Change: Your contribution empowers our advocacy for the policies and public funding that make these supports possible. You're not just advocating; you are building a durable foundation of smart policy that will benefit Colorado’s children for generations.
  • You Empower Local Leaders: Your gift provides the training, resources, and peer networks that make our local Councils more effective and resilient. You are activating a powerful leader in every community, creating a stronger system for every county.

From the state capitol to the classroom, your gift to ECCLA ensures that every child, family, and early childhood professional in Colorado has the foundation they need to succeed.

Mission

ECCLA advocates for and strengthens the accessibility, quality, and equity of local services and supports through a responsive statewide system of Early Childhood Councils, to benefit Colorado’s young children, their families, and early childhood professionals.

Background Statement

The Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance (ECCLA) exists to ensure every Colorado child has a strong start in life. We believe this is achieved when all children have access to the high-quality care, comprehensive health services, and strong family support they need to reach their full potential.

Established in 2013, ECCLA serves as the statewide backbone and collective voice for Colorado’s network of 35 community-based Early Childhood Councils, which together serve all 64 counties. While each local Council works to improve early childhood services in its own community, ECCLA nurtures their success. We provide the training, advocacy, and peer networks that allow local leaders to thrive.

To build a more efficient and effective system, ECCLA also centralizes key statewide resources such as the TEACH Early Childhood® Colorado Scholarship and the Family Child Care Home Facilities Improvement Grant. This strategic approach provides critical support to educators and providers across Colorado, without duplicating efforts across 35 individual local programs.

In everything we do ECCLA works to create a cohesive, high-quality early childhood ecosystem so that every child and family in Colorado can thrive.
