Bill Amass, 87, passed away at home in his happy place by Flathead Lake, Montana, on March 20, 2020.
Bill never met a stranger. He treasured, and was genuinely interested in, everyone he met. He had twinkling eyes and a great, warm grin (sometimes a little devilish, but always present). He was kind, unpretentious, and loved by all. His presence brightened any gathering. He will be missed and remembered for years to come.
His passion was nature. Sharing his love of it enriched the lives of all who knew him. At Geneva Glen, where he first sent his two sons, Tim and Ty, the Amass family found a place that fostered the spirit of nature and kindness that truly embodied Bill's values. Geneva Glen became such an important place to the Amass family with both Tim and Ty being campers and staff for years, as well as several grandchildren attending as campers and staff.
In honor of Bill's love of nature, dedication to kindness, and the spirit of the Glen, donations to the camp will help support these values in all who come to Geneva Glen.
