Redneck Ride for Parkinson's

Parkinson's disease hasn't stopped John Jacquinot from living his life; and for the second year he's championing a bike ride to give back to others in the Colorado Parkinson's community.

John is hosting the 2nd Annual Redneck Ride for Parkinson's on Sunday, August 24th. This 27-mile bike ride from Estes Park to Loveland will raise awareness of Parkinson's disease and critical funds for individuals in our community. John is on a very fixed income and he knows others with Parkinson's are in his same position. All funds raised from this campaign will be designated to provide low-cost and/or scholarships for exercise and activity programs provided through the Parkinson Association of the Rockies for Coloradoan's with Parkinson's.

Rocky Mountain Recumbent Bikes is sponsoring the ride and are offering a bike rental special to ride participants:$30.00 to rent a bike for the day. They, along with some other community volunteers and professional photographer, will also participate in the days event by following participants through the Ride's course.

John has also partnered with others in our community and planned the stops along the way to include lunch and coffee breaks, as well as a gathering to celebrate at the end of the ride. Now he just needs you're support. You're welcome to join John for this ride and create some incredible community awareness for Parkinson's disease, make a donation or ask others to make a donation to this campaign.

There is no entry fee to participate in this event and, as mentioned above, all donations contributed are reserved for individuals living in our community who cannot afford minimal costs for exercise programs specific for individuals living with Parkinson's. (FYI: Exercise is the only treatment proven to slow the progression of Parkinson's disease.)
